■Porsche vs GT-R
Those two fated rivals are not only in street or race scene. There are dogfights going on in idlers too.
Nakai-san’s project car “Rotana” is only focused for sprint attack. He is fighting a lone battle surrounded by all the domestic tuned cars include GT-R gives you an emotional impact which can not describe with words or pictures. If you were watching him coming to the corner at hair pin corner, You will able to feel his vibes from his eye. He flies all over the world to build RWBs but he never misses idlers weekends in Japan.
If I see the track as a spectator, I get a feeling of all the GT-R drivers look Nakai-san as a target. Most of the GT-R R32 and R34 are from Auto Gallery Yokohama(AGY). They are not like those track stance cars out there. They are next level battle mode GT-R. Otsuki-san’s R32 which reminds of Kazuhiko Hoshino Calsonic blue of cause has racing slick tires. In Best Mortoring video in 2004, Gr.A Skyline(narrow slick tires AKA N1 slick tires) marked 1’00”216 drove by Keiichi Tsuchiya. Otsuki-san’s R32 marked 59”966 this time. BTW this car is painted by Craft Okada-san.
Ogawa-san with AGY R34 marking 58” in race lap had difficult time managing tires at the end of the race since it’s 4WD, but successfully kept the lead race and came back in first place.
■Old&New
One of a regular member called “Makai-kun” drove Old&New 996 in 9Cup instead of his RWB964. This 996 is built as a daily use car. In Japanse market 996’s didn’t sell well because of it’s unique front design compere to other 911. With tiptronic gear you could easly find one with \1,500,000 This 996 is also got a tiptronic gear box, A/C, and all other futures with fancy wheels. Obviously, it’s not a race car but a daily car. However, it came in 8th in qualify. It has a potential.
