The event “attack” have been a huge effect to time attack culture in japan in this few years since it started, and it was the 10th memorial event for them.

In this category, S2000 and FD3S, for FR cars. R32, and CT Evos for AWD. EK～EG Civics FF cars. AE86N2, and NA roadstar for light weight cars. Those regulars from 2000’s JDM cars are the most popular machines.
■what made ATTACK the best
Of cause we must admit how WTAC effected to the scene, but past 1～2years time attack event surely gaining fans and effected to the whole car culture in japan. Even for the STANCE scene you see time attack matching looking cars.
However, in the real time attack world, winning on your record only matters.
It’s so simple that for the audience, it’s hard to see the excitement compere to other motorsports.
However, in “ATTACK”, you can catch up the back ground, character, and their gales of each drivers and machine on ATTACK blog and website, so you could see what’s going on clearly. Also, in ATTACK there are many catchy targets such as “fastest NA” “fastest turbo” “Fastest FF” “westside vs Eastside” which makes each entrant motivated.
At the end, the biggest advantage is the videos which edited perfectly with all the lap times you can watch on the web site. Those back up makes audience excited more than ever for time attack event. It’s almost too much back up for armature drivers event.
Aoki-san, who runs ATTACK, who knows all the logic to make audience excited to watch time attack event. His passion makes all the entrance attached and attend ATTACK.

■THE TARGET as WORKS
HKS time attack special TRB-03 drove by NOB-Taniguch’s 49.455. HKS works used full power against amateur time attackers. 10yeas ago, in time attack scene, makes those works record made amateur entrant unmotivated. But now it’s different.
Recently HKS hasn’t built an aggressive demo car like TRUST/Greddy. But now HKS made a huge target time record for all the amateur entrant. I’m looking forward to seeing it to be brake.

近年のカーカルチャーにおけるグリップ勢の復権の一端を担うタイムトライアルイベント、”Attack”の記念すべき筑波10回目の開催。
■タイムアタック競技とは
タイムアタック競技のハイシーズンは当然の事ながら気温の低いFall&Winter。
一般的なモータースポーツのチャンピオンシップシリーズとは真逆の季節。
このカテゴリーにおける主なマシンは、S2000、FD、次にR32やCT系のEvoといったAWD系、そしてEK～EG Civic等のFF車両、ライトウェイト勢はAE86N2やNAロードスター。
お馴染みの2000年台のJDM車両だ。
■ここ数年で急激に広がったタイムアタック競技の魅力。
WTACという天王山の繁栄と共にといった前置きは必要にはなるが、この1～2年でタイムアタック競技は着実にファンを増やし続け、カーカスタマイズのメインストリームにもその影響は多く見受けられる。
勝ち負けは己のターゲットタイムのみ。複数台のクルマと順位をコース上で争うレース形式のモータースポーツと比較して、一見するとその魅力は伝わりにくい。
しかしAttackは、キメ細やかなブログポストの情報から垣間見れるエントラントのキャラクターや目標設定。
NA最速、ターボ最速、FF最速、関西勢の関東下剋上、といったキャッチーなターゲットを持つもの同士の争いは常にホットに伝える。
アマチュアドライバーを対象とするイベントとしては、オーバークオリティーとも言える丁寧で見やすい動画配信など、筋書きのない劇場型モータースポーツとして、関心を持つ人を引き寄せている。
イベントのオーガナイズ面を見ても、アマチュア主体のイベントとは思えないパーフェクトともいえる運営。
最低限の入場料で興行としてもユーザーフレンドリー。
開催告知、開催直前の盛り上げ(煽り)、身内イジリ（笑）、映像配信、アフターレポート。
エントラントやオーディエンスの興味を持たせるロジックを丁寧に整備しているのがAttackを運営する代表Aoki-san。
1人の強烈なカリスマの情熱と自己犠牲。そこに集う賛同者と協力者。
この運営スタイルは、なにか一つ欠けると呆気なく儚くも崩れ去る事が少なくはないだけに、Aoki-sanに集うサポーター達、エントラントとの絆の強さが今後も維持される事を願いたい。
■ベンチマークとしてのワークスという存在
HKSが開発したタイムトライアル専用のワンオフスペシャルのTRB-03に乗ったNOB-Taniguchiが出した強烈な49秒445というタイム。
「ワークスがアマチュア相手に本気のタイムを出す。」
ワークスがアマチュアに対して太刀打ち出来ないほどの壁を作り、エントラントが去り衰退化していくという図式は少なからず10数年前にもあったが、今はそうではない。
Trust/GReddyと異なり、近年記憶に残るDEMOカーの存在が希薄だったHKS。
そのHKSが復活したというのは、アマチュアにとっても倒すべきライバルとして、包括的に活性化させられる良いタイミングなのではないだろうか？
